[D1, LM] Bus Stop

Faith paused for a moment trying to figure out the exact words to use before giving a small noncommittal shrug, "Parents... wouldn't have been happy.

"Sorry, don't want to be a downer, especially with the new school year starting n' all. You excited to be back?"

[Uru Miskwa'a]

"You're not a downer Faith! This is a parents-free zone, my bad for being a bit slow. You know me... But Hey! You get to be away from all that for the next few months though! What other good reason is there to live at a school if not to get away from our parents?" She said with a smile and a laugh.

She then took another fry and replied, "Excited? Sure. Nice to be back with everybody. Study will be a bore again no doubt.... but it's nice to have so many friends back after missing them all summer. Plus it looks like we got a couple of new kids over there with the Thunderbirds. And my little bro is coming for his first year! Should be trill."

There was yet another pop, as a short blonde haired student materialized. She noticed the group at the bar, and moved closer, her short heels clicking on the ground as she walked.

"hey guys!" her greeting was bright, as her eyes settled on the usual suspects...Arlington, Fitz, Sylvain...oh, the Vanderwycked was here too? Strange. Oh and a newcomer...

"Layla?" she blurted out in surprise.

Oh...crap...

Layla knew that voice. She turned slowly, looking up at Grace, stunned silence as she tried to work out what she needed to do now.

I didn't know she transfered to here....maybe I should have listened more.

"Um...hi?" She looked back at the table then back at Grace "uh...kinda. From Hogwarts. Grace..."

This is bad.

"This table is getting a little crowded and I don't think more will easily fit. Shall we find a new table and um...catch up?" Her eyes had a pleading look at Grace.

[Grace Wilkinson]

"Yeah, we were both Slytherin back the, the cool kids house." She flashed a smile as she spoke, then placed some weird American currency down. "Next rounds on me guys." She then turned to her fellow expat. "Yeah sure. Hey guys, catch you all later in the bus." She noticed one of the last free tables and gestured with her head to Layla to join.

Thank god she didn't make a scene...did she say bus??

"Thanks for the lovely welcome" Layla smiled at the thunderbird kids "speak to you later."

She rose, taking her stuff and fries, and followed after Grace.

[Arlington Wayne]

"Welcome to Ilvermorny." Arlington waved goodbye. He looked around at all the students who had arrived. "I wonder if the jukebox has been updated."
