Thanks to the small size of her body, Grace is able to slither down the hallways, keeping to corners and maintaining her position to sneak her way thru to the library.
The Library itself is still slightly lit, but almost entirely abandoned for the evening. A few ghostly figures strew about the halls, placing back books that the students forgot, as if they had done this for ages past, keeping up with the experiences of what they knew. Still, none of them pay any mind to a snake who just happened to wander on an evening such as this.

Grace ssssslithered through the stacks, wondering. The index would probably help a lot to find what she is looking for...but perhaps what she was looking for was not in the index.
Still, it was worth a try. She looked to find the catalog, hoping to find something blood curses.

It's not hard to find the restricted section of the library, as it's the one labeled with the ever ominous sign to warn people such as yourself to not enter this room.
But those warnings were just for the lowly people around you, right? Either way, slithering into this forbidden section would prove to not be any sort of challenge for you. But where to start?

Grace slithered through the stacks until she got to the forbidden section. Tentatively, she crossed the threshold between encouraged and forbidden, only to stop soon after.
Where to start?
She tried to look at some of the books, starting with Curses.

Curses would be a good start, indeed. You slither you were to the section, however, it is somewhat hard to see from down on the ground.
Not to mention, the section isn't exactly small either. Without knowing what you're looking for, you could just get lucky maybe and find the right book?
((Get out of snake form and roll me a perception check at hard difficulty))

You decide to pick up a random book on the shelve that looked promising. "Ashes of the Fallen." Sounds very promising, with blood magic being your ultimate goal of research.
As you open to begin to peruse its contents, a loud wail sound echos from the book as you open it, clearly not knowing the means to open it without focus. The sound echos thru the library, in a loud, passionate scream. A quick glance of the content is enough to make even a Thunderbird blush. Who would have ever thought that one could use charms in such a way? Not you. At least, not at this age.
A larger, more pressing concern, however, is that it did just reveal your location to those around you. The floating ghosts begin to stop what they're doing and look around that area, beginning to drift their way into the restricted section.

Wingardium Phalliosa?! What? What does that even do- NO!
She quickly tried pushing the book back to its previous place, and started transforming back to Queen Snake. Hopefully it will be in time.

Slithering back down to a more portable size, you make your way across the restricted section of the library to avoid the now apparent haunted guardians of the library. You notice them head to the exact point you were at and while not seeing any evidence of it, they were still on alert. Nodding to each other, they begin to sweep out across the section to find the intruder.
((Roll me another stealth check, average difficulty with one challenge dice, with that bonus die for being sneky))

You think you're doing well enough, slithering between the crevices of the bookshelves to make your way to the exit, but the ghosts keep sweeping their way thru the bookshelves with efficiency.
As you make your way out of the section, there is a long stretch of a open path between you and the tables and to freedom. As you begin to make the stretch, one of the ghosts comes out and gives a long look at you slithering away. Giving a long pause, looking at you, it eventually determines you to not be a threat and continues on its sweep.

Grace's heart was beating with the force of a thousand drums. Which was funny, as she wasn't sure she had a heart, as a snake.
She was still in the library, still. For now. Outside of the forbidden section, but still in the library. She glanced fondly over there. This won't work. She can't spend each night in the library, hoping no one will notice her bothering there.

With the ghosts beginning to be content with the search results, the ghosts slowly begin to go away from the section and return back to their floating and placing back the wayward books of the library.
It looks like a free and clear shot out if you want to take it, but then again, you can always try again if you're feeling lucky.

Grace's tongue snaked out of her...snake mouth. She sighed, or at least mentally she did.
This was close. Too close for comfort. She needed a new approach, something good, something she was good at. Being a snake was helpful, but sneaking around never was her strong suit.
She slowly, quietly started slithering out of the library.
