Day 2: Somewhere in the afternoon

[Sylvain Leloup]

Sylvain had been told she would be here...well at least she was here last time he asked

The young man was walking by the long rows of odd plants, many of which he never had seen nor considered

''Not many are native to the region I guess''

[Kachina Teiwes]

Professor Teiwes is found leaning over a set of plants with vibrant, shifting colours. They wear a poncho and heavy gloves, a pair of goggles over her eyes as they work on tending the plants, snipping away duller leaves - each spurting a multi-coloured liquid as they do. They shake their head, "Now now, no need for that."

Sylvain approched but kept a good distance, not wishing to intrude. While waiting to be noticed he did, however, stretch his neck to see what they were doing.

Odd plant. Is it sentient?

[Kachina Teiwes]

With one last snip, they stand up, stretching slightly as they set down the clippers. Professor Teiwes lifts their goggles, "See? Now that wasn't so bad, was it? Now you'll grow up strong and healthy. Well, at least until Cornelius comes to collect you." They click their tongue in a sound of admonishment.

[Sylvain Leloup]

''Professor Teiwes?''

Now that was a time as good as any

''May I have a word? If you are not busy, of course.''

[Kachina Teiwes]

They turn, a look on their face, "Ah, Sylvain. Of course, of course." With a glance around, they gesture to the desk - more an expanded lectern than an actual desk - at the head of the greenhouse. "Have a seat! Are you here for some help with your homework? Are you having trouble telling apart the various plants?"

[Sylvain Leloup]

''Huh...maybe but that is for another time.''

he began, walking to...whatever spot he could sit on without crushing something near the x-large lectern.

''I just wanted to inform you that I will be doing my vision quest this year''

Never a sentence was said more casually

[Kachina Teiwes]

"Hmm." Professor Teiwes pauses for a moment, resting their hand on chin. "You've thought about this, we suppose?"

[Sylvain Leloup]

''Yes I did, we event already built a sweat lodge.'' he replied confidently, careful not to reveal where the lodge actually is ''I'll prepare myself for it until the time is revealed''

[Kachina Teiwes]

"We suppose you're looking for some assistance?" They took the gloves off, setting them down next to the clippers. "We're not entirely certain how, what with different practices and all."

[Sylvain Leloup]

''Yes and no...I am mostly giving you the heads up since you are the head of thunderbird and out of respect and all.''

Sylvain double checked if he was not sitting on something again, just to be sure.

''Vision quests are personnal there is not much to do aside from purifying both souls''

[Kachina Teiwes]

"A declaration of certainty." The professor nods, "We approve of conviction among our students. Have you made any plans for how you intend to go about it?"

[Sylvain Leloup]

''I will attend to the sweat lodge and make the rituals needed during part of the first semester then, during a break, I will do it one last time before hunting for the vision''

[Kachina Teiwes]

They nod, "Very well planned, we see." They gesture to the plants, "Will you require any assistance? The no-majs might frown upon it but we have a bit of a different view of things."

[Sylvain Leloup]

Sylvain raised an eyebrow ''I am not sure I know what you mean''

[Kachina Teiwes]

They slipped the gloves back on and gestured to the plant they were just handling, "Well, the noxian totalus here can be taken in certain small quantities to induce a perfectly deep sleep. We think there's some spinning heads growing the back of Greenhouse Six that can be mixed up into a potion that can sometimes induce the most wonderful hallucinations!"

[Sylvain Leloup]

''Oh!'' things clicked in his mind ''Oh thank you but the visions are supposed to come from starvation and thirst, I think''

[Kachina Teiwes]

They nod, "Very well, if you insist, we understand."

There is a pause, then: "A shame, though. We often think everyone should experience a good dose of spinning heads."

[Sylvain Leloup]

''I would gladly experience it professor...Just not for the quest for the soul of my spirit and the soul of my body must be as pure as can be''
