"Did you fall a long way?" Layla looked concerned. She remembered a kid doing it in her first year as well. He broke his legs from the fall.

"A dozen feet or so." he admitted. "Knocked the wind out of me, but it hurt my pride more than my body."

[Layla Smith]

"I remember it happened to a kid in my first year, he fell a lot further. Broke both his legs from the fall" Layla winced "so it could have been much worse. Brooms can be temperamental huh."

"Yep. All magic can be." he nodded.
