Two Thunderbirds in a Potions Class? That's Trouble Brewing! (Fitz and Ondine)

Fitz shrugs a little at the task given and gets to work preparing the workstation. While a lot of the others liked to work with a simple cauldron, Fitz had grown notorious for setting up small burners elsewhere and taking up as much space as physically possible.

"Do you know what to look for Ondine?"

She usually had a good eye, and he kinda owed her for bringing a bunch of them together on the opening night. She would make a fine partner.

"Know? Nah. Ain't a nerd. But I just might figure it out."

Lazily, Ondine pulled away from her chair to look at the shelf, then started some counting-out rhyme in her native tongue as if randomness was the better approach. At some point with her eyes closed. Eventually, she grabbed a couple vials and philacters and brought it to Fitz, carrying them as if they were about to explode.

"This one's leaky and has lost some bubbles, right there. But circumstances are never ideal, ain't it so?"

She placed her bounty before him and sat back, swaying on the chair, half-curious what's going to happen next.

"Heh, don't worry, I'm nerd enough for both of us." Fitz waves in her direction as he prepares

Fitz frowns a little as some slightly subpar ingredients are brought back.

"Well, they're the right ones at any rate. The important part in this one is the oil. I can skim off some impurities before we need it I think."

Fitz decants the damaged vials into a small cauldron, putting in a little "solvent" from his pack as he sets to work.

"Hold this for me"

Fitz goes to work with his knife, drawing drawing out sap from a set of leaves and scraping it into the cauldron. Finally, holding his breath for a moment he begins to drip in the contents of the smaller pot, drip by drip.

The concoction fizzles, and comes together into a rough approximation of what it was supposed to look like, though it isn't perfectly translucent.

"Not my best work, but I think it'll do."

"As long as Professor Wigglebottom leaves us be, it's fine." She smirked while her attention moved to the clouds behind the window.

[C. Higglebottom]

Speak of the devil, the Professor makes his way down to your table, keeping his cat in hand.

"Oh, you finished already, I see. First in the class. No guarantee it's a passable grade, even if it is done by the likes of you, Fitzy." He often always gave a nickname to people, mostly to help associate them to memory. Otherwise, it was likely he would not ever remember anyone.

"Hmm...a fine effort, you two. You still made a good product, despite the lackluster ingredients Odo got you. Admirable job, you get A for the day. Aha! That rhymes." He bellows a small laugh at his own witticism. "Just need to pay more attention to what you're grabbing there. Out there in the wilderness, not everything is as it appears. I could tell you stories...oh yes...I could." He laughs and pets his cat as he steps away from the table and back to his desk.

Fitz goes for a discreet fist bump when Higglebottom leaves, sending a smile his partner's way.

"Told you I was nerd enough for both of us."
