Mischa knew who was best at potions by far in Wampus and quickly sidled over and put his best 'you're my Bestie!' smile to perfect use.

"Hi Raul . . . wanna partner?"

He ploughed right on without waiting for an answer.

"I can go get he stuff while you set things up how you like them!"

With that the small bundle of Wampus energy was off to the ingredient cupboards.

"Sure." Raul could barely get the words out before Mischa was off. Quickly, the lanky bookworm followed his fellow Wampus, while committing the recipe to memory.

"Don't forget your safety goggles. This stuff is dynamite!"

He bounced around the cupboards and drawers finding everything he needed.

Oh Da! three of that and there we go!"

The blonde whirlwind delivered everything required to Raul with his trademark grin.

"Hold this." The boy a set of tongs holding a phial with a bubbling taupe liquid. Raul excitedly had set up the decanters, bunsen burners, distillates, and what not. Tongs polished to shiny perfection, gleaming in dim light.

Raul slumped slightly, regarding the non reactive brew. Pursing his lips, he looked to his recipe, then what happened.

And then facepalmed.

"I'm sorry, Mischa. I forgot to convert this ingredient from Imperial units to Metric. No wonder it didn't work."

The Professor made his way to this table next, looking on at the two. He knew of the kid's skills and expected it to be a easy stop off.

That was, until his nose got a wiff of what was in side. "Hmm...quality ingredients, for sure...yet I don't smell it. Did you not use enough? It seems lacking in the proper punch, at least what I can tell." He moves in to take a proper sip of the brew and smacks his lips. "Hmm...it tastes as expected, but you needed more Sneezewort."

He nods at his student and places his cat on the table for a few moments. "Don't let this failure get to you, Prima, Rauly. It was a solid effort, only a small miscalculation on your end. Learn from this, and do it better the next time. Now, keep a eye on Ginger for me for a few moments while I tend to the next table."

He looks on and smiles at the two warmly before going off examine the next table.

Despite still being confused as to what 'metric' meant, Mischa seemed to accept the failure properly.

"Hi Ginger! Caught any mice this summer?"

Ginger is ready and eager to accept Mischa's petting, purring and lying on her back so he could rub her belly. "Meooowww..." Ginger replies, as if she understood what you had just said.
