Grace let out a groan as she queued up yet another cat video.... her mind was growing heavy as this was the 7th she watched in one sitting.

"I don't understand. Watch 7 cat memes, and dissect their effect on No-Maj society in North America." She eyed her homework wearily.

"My grade depends on this." Her fingers tightened around the notebook, ready to throw it out the window, but she braced herself with Wilkinson pride and focused on the screen. "C'mon, Grace Astoria Wilkinson, you can do this!"

[Layla Smith]

"Your legion of fans will be heartbroken to know you've finally gone crazy" came the voice of Layla in the doorway. She had stopped when she heard a voice, but was amused to find a struggling Grace.

It was obvious she'd just come back from a run.

[Grace Wilkinson]

"Legion? Fans?" She furrowed her brows, as the words slowly came back. "This is inhumane." She pointed her finger at the screen.

"I have barely written 3 lines on this, and all I can come up with is that cats rule the world." She sniffed in the air and eyed Layla.

"Since when are you so obsessed with exercise?"

[Layla Smith]

"Have you seen the food portions? It's all so...big. And unhealthy. I don't like running but I don't think the school has a swimming pool" Layla shrugged, peeking in "what's inhumane? What are you doing?"

[Grace Wilkinson]

"Try the lake sometime." She glanced out the window. "In better weather at least." She shrugged, then looked back at the computer. "No-Maj Studies. The cat video essay. It's just so...inane." she sighed and groaned.

[Layla Smith]

"Let me go have a quick shower and then I'll come back and help with the studying" Layla offered, before heading off to shower and clean up from her exercise. Leaving Grace to suffer through the cat memes all on her own....

Grace took a deep breath, and started the video once again.

"Sure. Just hurry up." She scratching down with her quill. "No-Maj's society is obsessed with cats in audiovisual media, it is known. The reasons for this are manifold and deep. There. I spent another 2 lines saying nothing. I might even have a future in the Ministry!"

[Layla Smith]

A short while later Layla returned, clean and with slightly wet hair.

"Finished yet?" she asked, slightly teasingly, as she entered the study room.

"Well, I am completely wiped, if that is what you mean." She glanced at the smarty pants. "You seem to be fitting in well."

[Layla Smith]

"I blend in well I guess" Layla shrugged, moving to sit with Grace.

"Wait...you're studying cat memes? Are you sure you're not just procrastinating? Oh that one is funny, I've seen so many versions of it" she motioned to the cat meme with the angry women shouting at it.
