[Day 4, Sweat Lodge, EM] The Magnum Opus

[Fitz Crowinshield]

"The Magnum Opus..." Fitz fiddles with his notes. "The elevation of the soul of materials. Well, I was going to have to start somewhere. The Thunderbird sweat lodge was, at the very least, a place where a large fire wouldn't draw too much attention and no one would offer too much scrutiny.

"The first step: Calcination"

Over the fire, Fitz fitted the crucible in his makeshift furnace, the wood lighting the charcoal to provide the heat. Inside was chalk swiped from the supply room, an ample supply of calcium carbonate. Add heat, and that broke down to quicklime.

"Solution...and Separation." Fitz taps on the barrel of the pressed apples from his earlier...*ahem* project. (Project, what project?). As much liquid as could be pressed had been removed, but there was still more hidden away.

"Conjunction. Putrefaction. Congealation...man, that one is going to take a while. If it even works at all."

Content for the moment, Fitz focuses on the fire, hoping that it worked like he had planned, and he could mix the concoction together.
