With the retirement of Agilbert Fontaine at the end of the previous school year, Zeloph King - a wel- known and well-liked master of Arithomancy with countless published studies to his name as well as a former professional consultant for the New York Ghost - was appointed to head the school going forward. He hopes to one day use the position to propel him to an important position within MACUSA though he believes it will be many, many years before that happens.

With the societal shift and dangers of technology can bring to their hidden world, a new focus on how No-Majs think and operate are required, which is what Zeloph hopes to achieve with this hire.

Alex joined the school back in the 60s as a student, only to go on to have a incredibly successful career in both Quodpot and Quiddich, having played on the US teams for both sports during their seasons for years, eventually taking over as head coach for the US Quodpot team for almost a decade. Having decided to give up the sport, he chose to join the school at the behest of Agilbert Fontaine, his old headmaster back in 2012. There he helped secure the futures of many a up and coming Quddich and Quodpot player in the league, still having lots of connections to the heads of both sports.

His word could make or break a hopeful player, and is not shy of letting those under his charge know it.

A survivor of the Second Wizarding War and the Battle of Hogwarts, Cho Chang after graduating from Hogwarts, married Leonard Sheppard, and worked for the Ministry of Magic for the past 10 years under the Committee of Experimental Charms. Eventually growing tired of working there, she took a break from the position in 2017 and offered to teach charms in and maintain the Ravenclaw house while Filius Flitwick went on a sabbatical. Having found herself enjoying the experience of teaching, and not particularly looking forward to returning back to her ministry position, she decided to take a position at Hogwarts as a assistant to Professor Cuthbert Binns, a decision she slowly came to regret as she fought long periods of drowsiness along with the students.

Not being able to take another year of that position, she discovered the American school of Ilvermorny having open positions, asked and relieved Headmaster McGonagall's permission and blessings to allow her the chance to head to it as a 'Visiting Fellow', for the possibility of a more permanent position there, though allowing her children to continue to attend Hogwarts while she made the trip alone.

A first generation American, Violet left her home in Ireland with her mother at around 10 years old, having her decide to leave the United Kingdom around 1993 "get as far away from her family as possible." While her mother was a No-maj of magical descent, Violet and her siblings managed to receive the heritage of her grandmother and had potential. Her mother, however, quickly made sure to not spoil her, having seen for herself the effects of making one feel too 'special' for their gifts. Thus, she began her tutelage under at Ilvermorny with a pension for Transfiguration magic. This was also where she had learnt about her uncle's impressive history thru the books in the library, though not really sure why her mother never liked to talk about him.

After her graduation, she felt inspired to pick up the torch he left after his tragic memory wipe incident that left him permanently hospitalized and started to explore the archaeological and magical relics of both the Americas and Europe, gaining a small name for herself. Unlike her uncle, however, she could not care less for the glory and fame it brought her. It was about the thrill of the experience and to continue the family name, though in constant contact with her mother to help "keep her head firmly on her shoulders".

Finally deciding after being hounded by publishers to sit and write her first memoir, she took the position of the Transfiguration teacher and Head of the Wampus house at the request of her friend, Zeloph King, to not only hope to inspire the next generation of wizards and witches, as her uncle once inspired her to do the same.

Parnabus was born into a magical family from the side of Detroit. Although the city itself has had its share of poverty and problems, the magical community of Detroit was surprisingly well maintained and in supplied, utilizing the ruins of the city to easily maintain their secret world from the No-Majs.

Having quite the knack for magical theory, as well as a keen understanding of magical creatures, Parnabus was accepted and went to Ilvermorny, graduating and taking a government job for some time capturing and studying the native creatures of the Americas. Having utilized and come in contact with Zeloph King many times, when Zelpoh accepted the role of headmaster of his alma mater, one of the first calls was to claim the recently opened position of Care of Magical Creatures.

Out of respect for his friend, Parnabus accepted the role as a well needed break from his job, as well as the opportunity to spark the passion of these noble creatures to the next generation.

Cornelius Higglebottom spent most of his life with his head down in books, reading and studying nature and the world, focused on his pursuit of knowledge. Despite this, his life has been spent outside of the academic world for some time. As a potioneer, he has spent most of his youth outside of Ilvermorny pursing his ambitions and study of new flora and fauna in which to make new and exciting proper potions. This has caused him to practically disappear from the magical world for several years at a time, living in nature or doing who knows what else in order to pursue the craft. There is even a rumor that during one of these periods, he spent a period of time in a No-Maj community college to study chemistry. While he will not admit it, of course, he does appear to be quite apt in understanding of the elemental tables.

Realizing that he had reached the point in his life that he should earn a proper living, he applied for and gained a teaching position within Ilvermorny 7 years ago as the Potions Master. So far since, his wanderlust for studying has been quenched due to their extensive libraries and engaging students. However, he is known to up and disappear at years end with no word and no means of communication, not to be seen again until the very first day of school.

Also peculiar is his pension to have a lot of pets in his classroom, calling them his 'test subjects', though he swears he would never do anything to truly harm the animals.

[Seneb of the Seven Starred Hill]

Seneb of the Seven Starred Hill was, they say, once a renowned Cursebreaker of Egypt. Indeed, there are mentions in several magical history books of a "Seneb" being a tutor of Cursebreakers - within the Old Kingdom. Whether or not it's the same Seneb is a matter for debate - no one, after all, knows how old this Seneb is or how long dwarves even live - but any who ask merely get brushed off by the boisterous professor.

It's common knowledge, though, that Seneb has been at Ilvermorny since the mid-1900s and was a companion of the late Albus Dumbledore during the Great Global Wizarding War against Gellert Grindelwald and his dark wizards. The dwarf never seems to be short of stories and prefers to teach most lessons by a matter of including (sometimes long) tales of the practical uses of the various spells in the larger world beyond the school (including some that, no doubt, others in the wizarding community would prefer the dwarven professor not teach).

All the same, controversy over Seneb's teaching methods or not, the dwarf has remained a fixture at Ilvermorny for years, teaching Charms to countless wizards and witches, and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon.

Raymond began his student here, his parents coming from Spain to the United States at a early age. As he joined Ilvermorny as a student, he was a rare student to be given a choice between 2 vastly different houses: Horned Serpent and Wampus. Making the choice that the physical held more of a interest to him than the mental, he joined Wampus and led their school teams to several victories and national titles in both Quiddich and Quodpot teams. After spending nearly a decade in the professional league, he decided to call it quits to return to the simple life once more, returning the a academic field and pursing knowledge, he eventually became successful enough to gain a teaching position at his old school.

He still becomes more a focus than not from fans who may have known him growing up (not to mention parents), but he has no regrets turning away from the limelight and onto his other passion of teaching.

[Kachina Teiwes]

Rarely does a student stay at Ilvermorny after their years are completed. In the case of Kachina Teiwes, however, they did. In their final year at school, Kachina's Herbology professor retired, having been with the school since the early 1900s and deciding it was time to go see the world. Having received the highest grades ever yet recorded for Herbology, Kachina was offered a position immediately out of school and readily agreed. Since then, they've become the Thunderbird head of house by virtue of being the longest sitting professor aligned with the house.

Kachina can most often be found in the greenhouses or their offices in the shared connection between the buildings, often tending to rare plants imported from the farthest corners of the world to feed Professor Higglebottom's never-ending need for potions materials.
